SUMMARY OF CHANGE 1 MODIFICATIONS

1. The Y-axis and the stated limits on figure 5, modulator and demodulator filter group delay response, was corrected to reflect the fact that the values should be divided and not multiplied by the modulation symbol rate in symbols per second.

2. Section 2, paragraph 2.2.1, has been modified to provide instructions on how to obtain standards that are not available for download from the Acquisition Streamlining and Standardization Information System (ASSIST).

3. The tailoring guidance in section 6 was changed to clearly identify the optional requirements that a program manager may tailor out for invitation of bids, request for proposals, and contractual statement purposes.

4. The superhigh frequency (shf) satellite communications (SATCOM) standards profile on figure 9 was changed to reflect the addition of the Internet Protocol modulator/demodulator (MODEM) and the deletion of MIL-STD-188-166 and MIL-STD-188-170 from the shf SATCOM profile.
